Paradise is wherever your heart is…I think I left my heart in Buck Island! I wish I could’ve left my sunburn there too. Haha! Despite that, I had such an amazing time celebrating my sister’s birthday. The pristine private island was the perfect backdrop, (a blogger’s dreams come true), and the views were nothing short of spectacular! It was a nice change up from the below average spring weather we have been experiencing in Boston, hellooo, no layering required! That’s what I love about island destinations, you can pack light and live in your swimsuit. Besides, less is more, right?! ?

My sister was teaching me how to breathe through the snorkeling gear at the shallow end in preparation for snorkeling at the infamous and majestic, Buck Island Reef National Monument. Let’s just say I lived to tell my story on the blog. Hahah! With that said, just keep swimming, just keep swimming…

Heaven on earth! On to Buck Island Reef National Monument…
This is one of the only two Underwater National Monuments, (huge thank you to the Kennedy’s!), in the United States which protects the entire coral reef ecosystem and habitat for threatened and endangered species that inhabit the island. I admire so much of the work they do to preserve and protect the livelihood of this magical place and precious wildlife.
Unforgettable experience!
You don’t realize how small you are until you see how vast and deep the ocean is through your own eyes and experience it for yourself. Sensory overload! It was truly a humbling experience being surrounded by nature and all its glory.
It was my first time in the Caribbean and I was in awe of everything around me. Traveling allows us to disconnect and reconnect with ourselves, and simultaneously connect with the people, the history, food and the culture of the region. It was an amazing bonding experience with my sisters. I’m fortunate enough that I get to travel anywhere with my best friends on a whim because there’s nothing but endless laughter and love! The fond memories will forever be embedded in my head and heart. ❤️❤️❤️
