I’m backkkkk! HELLoOo, my beautiful people!
It has been a while and a bit of a whirlwind! Now that the dust has settled a little, I’m recapping some of my most memorable trips of 2017. With the less than desirable weather here in Boston, these warm thoughts make it that much easier to cope with!
Palm Beach, Florida, has a very special place in my heart. Me and my favorite ladies were extended an invitation and without hesitation we eagerly accepted! The pristine beaches, eclectic art districts, incredible wildlife, delectable eats, upscale shopping, and bustling nightlife made this tropical destination a dream come true. This charming little town in South Florida is sophisticated without being stuffy and so rich in culture, history, and diversity. I can see why so many people fall in love and flock to this coastal paradise.
The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County curated a fabulous itinerary tailored towards our interests through their complimentary Cultural Concierge service. Spend less time planning and more time playing and exploring ‘Florida’s Cultural Capital!’ Our fabulous host, Judith, took us around town and went above and beyond during our amazing getaway.
We stayed at the Crane’s Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas. The villas are modern and luxurious with all the island feels and amenities. This intimate and tropical oasis is within footsteps or a short bike ride to the picturesque beach that oozes class and laid back vibes.
Make sure you stay hydrated and wear your sunscreen. The heat index was no joke! I was drenched in sweat within minutes of taking this shot. Then again, if you’re not sweating are you really putting in the work?! Haha
Burning calories always builds up an appetite. Luckily the food scene in Delray is MmmAzing – I totally made that word up! City Oyster surpassed my expectations and seafood cravings!
Dinner was decadent and divine, but it was time for some R&R and so we can recharge for the next day.
We took a fun golf cart ride to Artists Alley and Downtown West Palm Beach courtesy of the Downtowner, a free transportation company that takes you to all the hot spots around the area. The alley is a flourishing colony of about 30 established artists who work together to inspire and instill the importance of creative expression and art in the community.
Palm Beach is literally an art lover’s paradise, oh, and a food lover’s too!
The Office at Delray satisfied our voracious appetites with their delightful menu right in the heart of Delray Beach. I love the modern mixed with retro vibes at this gastropub. Comfort food and craft cocktails = heaven!
After satisfying our appetites, it was time for some dessert in the form of eye candy aka more street art! Haha!
Public art plays an integral role in Palm Beach, it’s a way of life here. We marveled at the countless mesmerizing murals adorned throughout the county courtesy of The Free Ride which connects you to all the cool spots. Each artwork was just as awe inspiring as the next. Palm Beach takes so much pride in their love, appreciation, and preservation of the arts. It is evident throughout the community. You can definitely feel a sense of pride and unity here.
Talk about sensory overload! I am in heaven! Each vibrant work of art speaks to me differently.
What does art mean to you? I absolutely love this quote:
“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” – Edgar Degas
To be continued…

If YOU ask everyone on the planet this question you might get 7 billion different answers and all Would be CORRECT. As an artist you want to make people feel, learn, THINK…TO INSPIRE…To GIVE someone a glimpse of who you are and whats feuling YOUr SOUL…But also you WAnt your artwork to br a mirror of the VIEWER…what it makes ghem feel ANd THINK…What message do they get from YOUr ARTWORK…And the great thing is your artwork could HAVe a DIFFERENt message for everyone which makes art that much more special

Hi thida! It is obvious I love all the foodies. As for the art I love the Sean Yoro and the APHRODITE masterpiece. Well I am more into the INTRICACY of art because In my opinion I believe those took maybe the longest to create. The other ones are simple but I also learned to never under estimate the power of simple. I Know EInstein said something about simplifying something though he ironically solves complicated questions. LOL! Oh and I love his theory of ALTERNATIVE Brain Exercise. I don’t Think that is what is is called but You know what I mean. 😛 Anyways I love the writes. Tell me more of why the EINSTEIN on is one your favorite and why? 😀 I Am Curious.
